Only three weeks remain before the Big Poker Show comes to town. The 2010 World Series of Poker will once again fill the Pavilion Expo Center at Harrah’s Rio Resort in Las Vegas with thousands of poker players from around the world, movie stars, sports celebrities, throngs of clamoring fans armed with point-and-shoots, millions and millions of dollars in cash, and a few gold bracelets.

We’ve prepared some never published images featuring celebrities playing poker at the 2009 WSOP and added them to the Flipchip Photo Gallery. This is also your opportunity to glimpse what happens backstage.

Game 6 in Boston could very well be the biggest game yet in the history of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In case you haven’t been paying attention to the 2010 NBA playoffs, this year’s league MVP LeBron James and the heavy favorites to win the title, that’s the Cleveland Cavaliers, are on the verge of being sent off to an early summer after the Boston Celtics won Game 5 in Cleveland convincingly, 120-88, to take the 3-2 series lead and give themselves a shot at eliminating the Cavaliers this Thursday night in Boston.

Yep, the Cleveland Cavaliers are in a whole lot of trouble and I can’t even stress how badly these guys NEED to win Game 6 in Boston and force a Game 7 back home in Cleveland. If the Cavs lose this, they can kiss the NBA title goodbye for the second straight year as the odds on favorites to win the title.

To make matters worse, a loss could also mean that LeBron James may have played his last game in Cleveland as a Cleveland Cavalier.

Heeere comes Tiger.

Considered as golf’s most famous and prestigious tournament, the 2010 Augusta Masters will be extra special this year because, obviously, everybody will be anxious to see the return of Tiger Woods since news of his adultery broke out last Thanksgiving.

The anticipation of the return of Tiger Woods could make this year’s Masters the most watched golf tournament in television history. Can Tiger reclaim his throne on top of the food chain? Can he recapture the greatness he once had before all the controversy? And most importantly, can Tiger win the 2010 Masters?

We have quite a few names to throw at you as far as who we think CAN win this year’s tournament in Augusta, starting off with probably the odds-on favorite to win it this year and surprisingly, he’s not Tiger Woods.

Ernie Els is the overwhelming favorite. The field is as wide open as it’s been in over a decade, but Els seems to have found his game again. He won twice in March with wins at the WGC-CA Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He clearly has momentum going for him and it’ll be interesting to see how much he fares in this tournament with Tiger Woods back.

We also have Anthony Kim. He was so close to becoming the next great American player. He held off Vaughn Taylor in a playoff to win the Shell Houston Open. Kim is a confident player, and he is one of the players who come into the majors playing well. Last year he set the record for 11 birdies in a round at the Masters. He has a great shot at the title this year.

After failing to acquire another legitimate player to help Dwyane Wade before the trading deadline expired in the 2010 NBA basketball season, the Miami Heat should consider going to their initial plan of getting a free agent in the offseason.

While the New York Knicks, the Chicago Bulls, the Washington Wizards, the L.A. Clippers, and the Sacramento Kings made a surplus of combined trades to give them major cap relief after the season, the Miami Heat were caught on the sidelines watching their advantage fade away.

Chicago and New York were already expected to make a run for Dwyane Wade, but now they can offer him the chance to possibly play alongside LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Amar’e Stoudemire, or Joe Johnson.

”You pay attention and notice what’s going on around the league because you’re a player in this league, and there’s also a business factor,” Dwyane Wade said of teams looking to join the summer sweepstakes.

”But no team is more important than the team you play for, and seeing your team put itself in position to win at a high level for a long time.”

A Chicago Bulls tandem with Derrick Rose or any of those names would have to be enticing for Wade. If Miami isn’t able to convince him the team will contend next year, the Chicago native would have a hard time saying no to a Bulls offer like that.

Tomorrow at 11 a.m. ET at the Clubhouse at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Florida, golfer Tiger Woods will be kicking off the 2010 Tiger Woods Mea Culpa Tour.

Already generating the kind of buzz only befitting perhaps the world’s greatest golfer and philanderer of our time, the Tiger Woods 2010 Mea Culpa Tour is also scheduled to stop at The TODAY Show (co-host Matt Lauer is an avid golfer) and on Oprah Winfrey’s couch — and no doubt at several major upcoming PGA tournaments. (The Master’s begins just after Easter. Watch Tiger rise up and ascend to golfing heaven!)

Interestingly, according to National Enquirer executive editor Barry Levine (as reported on ESPN’s E:60), the whole Tiger Woods mistress story was almost a non-story. Almost. As we all know what eventually happened. (Fore!)

Me, I don’t really care about Tiger. Yeah, I’m a bit disappointed that the image was far from the reality. But that’s the problem with our celebrity- and athlete-worshiping culture. We forget that celebrities are just actors and athletes are not heroes. They are just people who are really good at what they do — and happen to get a lot of press coverage.

I just hope that Tiger’s little coming out party won’t hurt sales of the Tiger Woods Mistress Commemorative Plate Collection. (Order your set today! Supplies are limited!)
