The TASER Foundation for Fallen Officers will celebrate its 5th annual celebrity poker tournament at Fort McDowell Casino in Arizona from November 19th to 21st, 2009. The weekend long event will kick off on November 19th and will continue on Saturday, November 21st, with a high roller event featuring movie, sports, music and TV celebrities. All proceeds from both tournaments will be used by TASER Foundation to provide financial assistance and aid to the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty across the U.S and Canada.

The events will provide attendees with the opportunity to play against and rub elbows with some of the best poker players in the world and compete for cash prizes and two seats at the 2010 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. First place will take home a $10,000 seat at the 2010 Main Event, while the second prize winner will take home a $5,000 seat.

In addition to the poker events, the TASER Foundation will also hold a celebrity golf classic at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club, at the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort and Casino on Friday, November 20, 2009. Participation is limited to 75 players.

Some of the professional players attending the event include 11-time WSOP champ and UltimateBet poker pro  Phil Hellmuth, Layne Flack, Antonio “The Magician “ Esfandiari, PokerStars pro Greg “Fossilman” Raymer, Jennifer Tilly, Phil Laak, Kenna James, Erica Schoenberg, Jeff Madsen, Roy Winston, Clonie Gowen, Brandon Cantu, Todd and Pamela Brunson, and Arizona’s celebrity players, Kevin O’Donnell and Jim Schneider.

Also playing in the event are country music recording artist Mark Wills, pop artist MarvinYoung “Young MC”,  actors Richard Karn, Gordon Klapp, Greg Itzin, Kevin Dobson, Retired Sheriff John Bunnell (COPS and “World’s Wildest Police Videos”), Karri Turner, Paula Trickey, WWE Legends, Sargeant Slaughter (Robert Remus) and Tony Atlas (Tony White) and many more.

IMAX Corporation and Sony Pictures Releasing today announced that the highly-anticipated motion picture Michael Jackson’s “This is it” will open in 96 digital IMAX theaters across the U.S on October 28, 2009, including three theaters in Las Vegas area. The film will also make its debut in 27 international IMAX theaters in Australia, Brazil, China, Austria, South Korea, Mexico, Japan, India, Poland, Taiwan, UK, Qatar and Ukraine.

The film is schedule to  play day-and-date at the following IMAX(R) Theaters beginning October 28th.Regal Sunset Station Stadium 13 & IMAX inside the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino Henderson, Regal Red Rock Stadium 16 & IMAX at Red Rock Resort and Casino and at the Regal Aliante Stadium 16 & IMAX in North Las Vegas.

“There is already significant buzz surrounding the film and we’re so pleased that moviegoers in domestic and international markets will now have the chance to experience it in IMAX,” Our partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment is growing, as is the IMAX theater network, and we’re looking forward to continued success with Sony as we open more theaters and release more films.”

The film directed by Michael Jackson’s creative partner Kenny Ortega and produced by Randy Phillips, Kenny Ortega and Paul Gongaware, is the last documentation of Michael Jackson in action. “This is it” features rare, behind-the-scenes footage and scenes recorded this past summer in London during the artist’s rehearsals for his sold-out concerts at the O2 Arena.

“Moviegoers will be able to hear the talent of Michael Jackson, with the film’s digitally re-mastered soundtrack pumping through IMAX’s powerful audio system. The IMAX release cranks up the event status of this unique film even more.” added Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment.
